There is a common misconception the people who attended Woodstock were too out of it to pay much attention to anything but dancing and other festival related shenanigans. But in this rare pic, you can actually see two girls looking for a newspaper to read.
A lot was going on in the world at the time of this festival of peace and love, so perhaps they wanted to take a break from the hippie bubble and touch down with reality for a few minutes.
