What strikes us as incredible is the fact that throughout his 27 year hike, Knight only chose to sleep in an unused cabin for one night. He actually managed to survive Maine’s brutal winters outside.
He would typically go to bed at around 7:30pm and wake up at 2:00am in order to start his day. This was so that he could wake up, collect firewood, and make sure that he doesn’t freeze in the night.
