You might imagine living in the Palace to be glamorous and full of luxuries, but this is not actually the case for employees. A former Palace staff member revealed that the staff quarters are very basic, and resemble dormitories at universities.
Apparently, each small room contains just a single bed, a wardrobe, and a sink. In addition, staff members don’t even get to stay there for free. They must set aside a portion of their own salary for Palace accommodation.
