The competition for the best Royal staff members has occasionally put family members at odds with one another. When William and Harry were young, Prince Charles and Princess Diana had some disputes about who to choose as a nanny.
After Diana let their first nanny go (she apparently felt threatened by her), she decided that she wanted her neighbor, Princess Michael of Kent’s nanny for her own children. So, she “poached” the nanny, angering Princess Michael. The nanny soon resigned anyway because she didn’t like all the attention.
