Nannies must be firm with the children in order to keep them on their best behavior, but there is one form of discipline that is never allowed in the Royal Family. Physical punishments are not permitted under any circumstances.
If a nanny is seen using a physical punishment on one of the Royal children, they will be let go right away. This also goes back to nanny training at Norland, where a popular saying goes, “A child is never naughty,” only the child’s behavior is.
