Nanny Maria Borrallo is a recognized presence whenever the Royal children are in public, but that wasn’t always the plan. When Kate Middleton first became pregnant, she really wanted her own mother, Carole, to assist with taking care of her children instead of a nanny.
That was not to be, however, because it goes against Royal protocol. In addition, despite raising children of her own Carole was not properly trained to manage the life of the future King. So, Maria was hired, and has practically become part of the family.
