At the time, Mackenzie was on her way home from a shift at the Rennes Health and Rehab Center in Appleton. The young girl had made it her mission to become a registered nurse, and she was doing everything she could to obtain this goal.
She was still studying at high school every morning, and then she would make her way to Fox Valley Tech in the afternoon for more classes. As if that wasn’t enough, she would then work at the Health and Rehab Center every day from 2 until 10 to gain experience and money.
