Perhaps the reason Kate and William get the first Instagram account is simply because they are the future King and Queen Consort. While Prince Charles may be next in line to the throne, he’s probably not the kind of person who wants his own Instagram account.
So, it makes sense for the next generation to own the Kensington Palace account. As for Meghan? Well, she will never be Queen, and so she and Harry will have to make do with their Duke and Duchess of Sussex account.
