Although Anton had finally been found and the opportunity to be reunited with his brother was on the verge of happening, things almost took a turn for the worst when Pilipa fled from a Brazilian hospital. He disappeared into the surrounding jungle, heading towards the state of Amazonas where again he faced the possibility of great danger from those who inhabit it. The police managed to find him unharmed, and Anton was able to return to Toronto where he saw his brother again for the first time in five years.
