The whole film was set in motion because of a wish made on “Zoltar,” the fortune teller machine Josh comes across after a rough night at an amusement park. Well, it turns out the amusement is actually a real place called Playland Amusement Park.
It’s located in Westchester County, New York, and has been operating since 1929! In 2016, there was a fear that the park was going to be shut down because of lack of funds, but the community was able to rally to save it.
