When we say that this is a big helicopter, we really mean it. In fact, the helicopter was specifically designed to be able to carry amphibious armored personnel carriers from one area of the country to the other. The Mil Mi-26 is also able to take entire intercontinental ballistic cruise missiles and transport them around the country. It is able to fly these enormous vehicles due to its powerful engines and huge rotors. In fact, the helicopter’s tail rotor is as large as a standard private helicopter’s primary rotor!
