Michel knew that he wanted his build to be as accurate to other castles of the time as possible so soon set about examining the other local builds to help with all the major archeological choices.Thankfully, the area in Burgundy, France, was surrounded by other castles that were typical of the 13th century. It turned out that huge castles were once one of the most cost-effective ways to defend the land from any invaders.
People kept safe within the walls while still having access to anyone else on the outside. Manuscripts from the time teamed with stained-glass windows both helped historians to get all the information they needed to ensure they were building the castle as accurately as possible. Guéldon would be a chance for all the ancient constructions to come back to life once again while keeping up with modern-day health and safety standards.
