Hazel was in constant good health her whole life, until the last week of her life. A week before she passed away, she was taken by ambulance to the hospital. She had suddenly became very lethargic and weak, almost as if she knew that at 93 she had done all she could for Leonard and that it was time to go. It also seems as though she knew that that day would be his last as well. She wouldn’t leave the world alone as Leonard would join her.
