We all knew and loved Nancy McKeon as the tough Jo on The Facts of Life, but for the McKeon family laughter was serious business. It wasn’t just Nancy who was making America laugh on TV, as she was beaten to the punch by her older brother Philip.
The elder McKeon sibling, two years older than his sister, starred from 1976 to 1985 on the sitcom Alice, which was based on the hit movie Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore. Nancy and Philip seemed to be especially close, which made it all the more heartbreaking when Philip passed away in December, 2019, at the age of only 55.
