While there have been many strange reasons why actors landed big roles, this one might just take the cake. Nancy landed the role of Jo due to her ability to cry on cue… on a sitcom!
We find that very interesting considering Jo’s tough character, but crying on cue is one unique ability to have. Nancy was on a Hallmark commercial where she needed to cry on cue and so producers brought her in to audition. Her audition went so well-received that she made everyone cry in the control room; way to go Nancy!
