The show initially aired on CBS but was moved to PBS after several seasons. The major difference between the two networks, when it came to the show, was the fact that on PBS the show had a new theme tune. The initial tune was changed when the network asked Lynn Ahrens of the Schoolhouse Rock! to compose a new tune, called, Here Comes Captain Kangaroo. While this may not be a big deal for some, there are fans of the show that found the new tune way too different.
