In addition to Black Dynamite, Captain Kangaroo was mentioned by Bruce Willis in the film, Die Hard with a Vengeance, as well as in songs by the Statler Brothers, Weird Al Yankovic, and Bloodhound Gang. Captain Kangaroo’s reach managed to transcend time and genre. Hollywood remembers Captain Kangaroo as a classic, seeing as many of today’s actors grew up on the show.
