Bob Keeshan had a clear vision for the show, despite the fact that he didn’t write it. The show was supposed to be in a format in which a grandfather was the focus of the show, and he is the one guiding the young viewer along the adventure. Producers had their own idea as to how the show was going to go, but they managed to meet somewhere in the middle, and make it the legendary show it was.
