Oftentimes, actors who fancy themselves musicians tend to get defensive when they speak about their music and their Hollywood careers are brought up. They rarely, however, act like moody teenagers. Unless they’re Billy Bob Thornton, that is.

Before an interview on a Canadian show about his band The Boxmasters’ upcoming tour of the country, he asked that his acting not be brought up. The host proceeded to immediately mention it on-air because honestly, who’s heard of The Boxmasters otherwise? Nevertheless, Thornton immediately checks out of the interview, stonewalling the interviewer by refusing to answer simple questions before calling Canadian rock audiences “mashed potatoes without the gravy,” whatever that means.
