The late, great Joan Rivers was a firebrand, roasting and toasting whoever she saw thought. Sure, her brand of comedy wasn’t for everyone – but those who got it loved her. No stranger to controversy, however, she didn’t really appreciate being asked about scandalous events from her past.

CNN interviewer Fredricka Whitfield didn’t get that memo, though, and kept pushing Rivers on anything from her “mean” humor to wearing furs. That last bit triggered Rivers to go on a rant that culminated in her telling Whitfield to “shut up.” With one final accusation – “You are not the one to interview a person who does humor” – she stormed off the set.
