Ned Beatty plays Dan’s father Ed Conner on Roseanne. He is employed as a travelling salesman who sells his wares all across the United States. The family all loves him, especially since he always comes to town with presents from all over the United States. However, the Dan and Ed do sometimes get at each other’s throats, especially after Ed makes subtle jibes at Dan. In the end, Ed marries Crystal, a friend of Roseanne’s, and the couple have two children together.
