Laurie Metcalf began her acting career on the stages of the Chicago Theatre before moving to television. Post-Roseanne, she has taken on roles in shows such as The Big Bang Theory, The Norm Show, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Desperate Housewives. She has won a plethora of accolades from the academy, including one Emmy (for Roseanne) and one Tony. Metcalf met her husband Matt Roth while working on Roseanne, and the couple had a daughter together. However, the two divorces back in 2014.
