Two years after her mother’s passing, Brooke released her memoire called There Was a Little Girl, where she went into details about her complex childhood of not only being raised by her over-controlling mother but also working closely with her. She did however, idolize her mother when she was younger. Brooke wrote about how when she was only a few days old, her mother saw the potential in her daughter and she wasn’t afraid to express how much she wanted her in the show business. “She’s the most beautiful child and I’m going to help her with her career.”
