Dealing with her postpartum depression was tough enough on the actress and she didn’t need anything or anyone else to make things worse or make her feel bad about it. Two years after she gave birth to her daughter, Tom Cruise criticized the actress for speaking so positively about antidepressant pills. He said: ‘Here is a woman – and I care about Brooke Shields because I think she is an incredibly talented woman – you look at [and think], where has her career gone?’. Brooke in response, said that his comments were dangerous and irresponsible.
