When Swayze was auditioning for the role of Johnny, Jennifer wasn’t all too happy. The two had actually worked together in the past, in the 1984 film Red Dawn, and Grey thought Swayze was a bit of a jerk, believe it or not.
Patrick was also ten years older than his character (as was Grey, incidentally) but managed to pull off a guy who’s just 24 years old, instead of his real age of 34. Once Patrick and Jennifer started working together again, though, their chemistry was undeniable.
