The mud that covered the animal had nearly dried solid, creating a heavy and hard coat on the poor creature’s fur. The workers could see that the animal was in severe pain, and needed care of a medical specialist. They had a feeling that if they didn’t rush this animal to a nearby hospital as soon as possible, there was a big chance that it would not survive. As quickly as they could, they put the animal in their car and drove to the South Essex Wildlife Hospital.
