This is something that girls do and no one will really ever understand why. Perhaps they feel no one will believe that they are actually cold unless they put their icy hands on someone else to prove it.
This poor husband was practically frostbitten when his wife put her frozen fingers on him and asked if her hands were cold. Probably because he didn’t want to have his life threatened, or maybe because he was just trying to be nice, he said “no” as not to upset her.
