There was one thing that had pushed Hanna to jump from the edge of the pier: the noise of the boy’s mother screaming for someone to help her son. She was desperate yet frozen in fear as she watched her child get dragged out to sea. There was nothing the mother could do but stand back and watch as she knew her son might be about to lose his life. Thankfully, her cries for help were soon met by Hanna, but now, she needed help herself.
