It appeared as though no one had any idea how to react as they stood back and watched the boy head further and further out to see. However, Hanna raced to the action and was soon standing over the edge of the pier. Many experts have shown that danger can make us enter a fight or flight state of mind. There was no way that Hanna was running away. In fact, she was about to battle the danger of the water as she dived off the edge of the pier.
