Some have spoken about how Hanna could have become one of the many bystanders that stood back surprised at what was happening. It looked as though no one knew what to do and many were frozen to the spot. However, Hanna knew she couldn’t ignore the cries for help. The waitress imagined that it was her little sister in the water and hopes that someone would step up to help if that were the case. Plus, Hanna confessed she couldn’t ignore a “human life” in danger.
