[post_page_title]20 people carried his coffin[/post_page_title]
At the time of his passing, Robert was 8’11” and about 440 pounds. As you might imagine, buying a coffin “off the rack” didn’t exactly cut it in his case. And indeed it didn’t.

20 people carried his coffin

His coffin measured 10 feet and 9 inches long by 2 feet and 8 inches wide, with a depth of 2 feet and 6 inches. It weighed well over 1,000 pounds, and 20 men were needed to carry it. Twelve were actual pallbearers, while eight men assisted in this gargantuan task – no pun intended.
