On the set for the movie Evil Dead II, there was quite a lot of fake blood being used – and Bruce Campbell, the star of the film, was on the wrong end of it all.
The fake blood was in fact Karo syrup, which not only was a huge attraction for flies, but it was very unpleasant to have on your skin. There was one particular scene where Campbell was literally covered with 55 gallons of fake blood – and he says he “lived to tell the tale.”
