So, why did the MIL ask the bride-to-be to dye her hair? The short answer is that the MIL didn’t want to match with the bride. The young bride has naturally red hair that runs in her family, and her MIL also has red hair that she dyed herself. It seems as though the older woman didn’t want people to get confused between the bride and the mother-of-the-groom, so she thought it would be best for the bride-to-be to dye her hair.
However, she wasn’t having any of it. The bride confessed that she was more than happy with her natural hair, and didn’t want to throw any chemicals on it for the sake of one day. Besides, she didn’t think anyone would get her confused with her mother-in-law, especially as she would be the one wearing the wedding dress!
