Archaeologists started to take over the site, exploring the site’s every corner. They quickly figured out that the site was much larger than anyone had imagined. It actually descended 18 stories underground, a total of 200 feet deep. The man had discovered one of the biggest ancient underground man-made sites in the world. Historians estimated that the city could have held up to 20,000 people. Despite this amazing discovery, it was still unclear who lived there and why.
