Due to his appearance in several successful action movies, Norris became synonymous with Hollywood star in the 80s. The actor then tried to capitalize on his success by appearing in comic books and a cartoon series. Unfortunately for him, both of them were unsuccessful. His cartoon series Chuck Norris: Karate Kommandos was cancelled after just five episodes. The comic book adaption of the series was issued by Marvel but lasted a measly four issues.
