His football skills earned the star a scholarship at Florida State University where he continued to enjoy the sport until his dreams all came crashing down. Burt had always dreamed of playing in the NFL. However, an injury combined with a car accident meant he would never make it to the big leagues. His dreams were over. That all changed when an English teacher suggested Burt try acting.
