During the 1970s, Rene was a Vogue cover model. Her 5 foot 8 stature and long stems made her a perfect fit for the modeling world. Her impressive cheek bones and overall classical features had people doing a double take when they flipped through the pages of the magazine. She modeled until the 1980, when she decided to transition into acting.

Once Rene set her sights in acting, the rest was history. Rene has been in films like Lethal Weapon 3, Outbreak, Get Shorty (for which she was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award), and The Thomas Crown Affair. In 2005 she decided to take a break from acting, returning later to do the film Nightcrawler.
