There seems to be a pattern of character’s first name being the same as the actor or actress playing it. George Clooney, before he was the award winning stud he would become, played the role of George Burnett, the adorable and lovable handyman. Clooney started appearing on The Facts of Life in season seven and would stay until the end of season eight. His stint on the show would be 17 episodes long and we were blissful about it. Little known fact: Clooney’s character kissed Whelchel’s character and Lisa has no recollection of the kiss whatsoever; what a shame!

Obviously, George Clooney went on to be a HUGE celebrity. Clooney really broke out with his role as Dr. Doug Ross on the hit television show, ER. He later transitioned into film roles that got his a wide range of critical acclaim and awards. The Academy Award winning actor has starred in films like, Oceans Eleven, Gravity, Syriana, Burn After Reading, and Michael Clayton. He has been named the sexiest man alive more than one year, and we totally agree. Most recently, Clooney finally settled down with wife, Amal and is expanding his family as we speak.
