Geri Jewell played the role of Geri Tyler on The Facts of Life thanks to producer Norman Lear, who saw Geri perform her comedy skit at the Media Access Awards. Geri was on the show from 1980 to 1984, seasons two through five. In terms of history changing, Geri was the first person with a visible disability to be a part of the main cast on a television show, and especially with a condition like Cerebral Palsy.

Her roles in films include, Two of a Kind, and The Night of the White Pants. Geri’s love and knack for comedy has not left her and has been used in every role she has taken. Despite having a disability like Cerebral Palsy, Geri had not let anything slow her down.
