Roger Perry played the role of Charles Parker from 1981 to 1983 and seasons three through five. He was on the show for a total of ten episodes and is remembered most of all for his line to Mrs. Garrett: “You know there are parents here whose names I’ve only seen on checks? And I’ve been getting angry phone calls from them all week. They are furious I allowed those books to be removed from the library. I mean Edna, they hate me.”

Roger did not continue acting after his time on The Facts of Life. He instead opted to get married and have children while working in odd jobs. He married wife, Joyce Bulifant, and settled down in Palm Springs, California, where he and his wife got the Golden Palm Star on the Walk of Stars in Palm Springs. His wife had been married four times before she met Roger, however, he was the one!
