We mentioned that the first season was different from the other seasons because the cast was much larger at the time. Actress Molly Ringwald, a very young Molly Ringwald, played the role of Molly Parker. Molly’s role as, well, Molly, was cut after the first season, along with others, so she was only on the show from 1979 to 1980. Molly was pretty upset about being cut, but with the career she went on to have we are sure she got over it really fast.

Speaking of the amazing career Molly went on to have, she starred in three practically cult movies today – Sixteen Candles., Pretty in Pink, and The Breakfast Club. Molly’s role in these films solidified her as a teenage hit. Ringwald still keeps busy with television and film roles, although not as busy as her life in the 80s, she has been in films like King Kobra, and Bad Night, and made appearances in shows like, Riverdale, and Raising Expectations. Molly has been married since 2007 (her second marriage), and has three children with her current husband.
