Rogers would go on to have several more successful albums, but it was in 1978, with the release of his sixth album, that he would find himself with a runaway hit on his hands. The album – called ‘The Gambler – was unbelievably successful, selling over 35 million copies worldwide.
It made Rogers a well-known name across the world, and transformed him from a successful artists to one of the biggest names in music. The album produced 2 hit singles – ‘The Gambler’ and ‘She Believes in Me’ – which further bolstered its success.
