It’s unclear just how long propermistakeregretit was seeing someone else behind his girlfriend’s back, but it’s safe to say they’d been together for a while. After all, if he was planning on proposing to her, it’s likely they’d had enough time to build up a strong relationship. The whole time he’d been seeing this other woman, his girlfriend had been entirely unaware of what was going on.
The chances are that she’d have ditched him by now if she knew he was cheating, meaning she’s currently living in blissful ignorance. Her heart would probably be broken if she were to find the truth out now, but that doesn’t mean she should remain in the dark. Things like this always have a habit of coming out, and the longer it takes for her to learn the truth, the more devastated she’ll be.
