The African American Activist was keeping his influential manners even when he was dying. The civil rights fighter’s last words to his assassins were “Hold it! Let’s be cool, brothers!” We can learn a lot about his character from the choice of his last words. His public funeral was broadcasted by a local station and speakers were placed outside the church for the abundance of people attended. Many other activists attended the service such as John Lewis, Jesse Gray and Ossie Davis.
