Before his stint on the long running show, Sebastian studied acting as well as singing and dancing at the Lynda Keane Studios. He first appeared on stage with Sydney Theatre Company.
The actor played the role of Max Sutherland, the nephew of Rhys and Shelley Sutherland who leaves the bay in order to attend boarding school.

Both his brothers and sister, Peter, Dominic and Rebekah Elmaloglou have also appeared on the soap opera.
He left the show in 2004.
