Before turning to acting, Cooper was involved in the performing arts of Ballet and she won several awards. She was first introduced to the world of drama when she was part of the Night Theatre Group for children.
She starred on Home and Away from 1998 to 2002 and during her time on the show she won Most Popular New Talent as part of the Logie Awards.

Following the show, Copper took part of Celebrity Big Brother Australia in 2006 she moved to New York to perform in the production of The Boys.
She is now working as a director.
