Penny initially works at The Cheesecake Factory waitressing as she struggled to become an actress, but eventually quits and becomes a pharmaceutical rep at the same company as Bernadette. Penny and Leonard have had an up and down relationship to say the least, but they finally tied the knot in the ninth season on a trip to Las Vegas.
