Arlene is 30-year-old Jenna’s trusty secretary at her job at Poise Magazine. Played by Marcia DeBonis, Arlene is thoroughly confused by Jenna’s apparent memory lapse when she shows up at work thinking she is, in fact, a 13-year-old girl. She has some of the most memorable lines in the movie, when Jenna thinks that the rapper “Eminem” is actually a type of candy, and she also plays an important role in helping Jenna find and get back in touch with Matt.
