When you’re as big of a star like Michael Landon, you can probably control many things on set, including the costume choice and how you would eventually look like.
The star who was not the tallest of the cast, to say the least, wanted to make sure he was high up there, literally, so he wore boots with four-inch heels and made sure his character was always physically placed just a little taller than the rest of the cast.
