As much as the show was successful at the time, the only nomination that was ever related to the show goes to actress Melissa Sue Anderson for her extraordinary depiction of Mary when she sadly goes blind.
Unfortunately, Anderson did not win the big prize, but her dramatic portrayal and nomination will be one of show’s best highlights list and at least she her nomination to take home with her.
